Kingston Pen Tours offers a unique opportunity to explore Canada's oldest maximum-security prison. Closed in 2013 and designated as a National Historic Site, it is an amazing historical building, predating Canada's confederation in 1867. Tours include the Standard, Extended and Express. 🔍 As Museum Month comes to an end, we are proud to celebrate the vital role museums play in preserving our shared history. They protect the stories, artifacts, and experiences that help us understand where we’ve come from and how we’ve grown.

Kingston is home to an incredible collection of museums - from military heritage to marine history, arts, culture, and corrections - making it one of Ontario’s richest museum communities. We’re grateful to be part of that landscape and to everyone who has visited for a tour (or plans to!)

Another of our tour options is is the Express Tour - a focused 45‑minute journey behind the walls of Canada’s oldest penitentiary. Step inside select historic spaces, some dating back to the 1830s, and get a snapshot of daily life inside Kingston Pen.
