The new temporary display of the Andrew William Fletcher is now officially open. The display will be at the Lethbridge Military Museum through December.

A new temporary display will open at the museum in April. It covers the exploits of Group Captain A. W. Fletcher, DFC and bar, from learning to fly in Lethbridge in the 1930s, through WWII, to farming and raising a family in Southern Alberta post war. This display will be in place through December 2026.

A reminder that the museum is open Wednesday afternoons from 12 to 4 pm, as well as at other times through arrangements made by calling 403-892-6531 or emailing [email protected].

The Lethbridge Military Museum will be closed for the Christmas/New Year period from Thurs. 11 Dec. until Wed. 7 Jan., 2026. The opening hours will then remain Wednesdays from 12 - 4 pm.

The public is invited to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy as the Lethbridge Legion branch will conduct a ceremony on D-Day 6 June at the Lethbridge Cenotaph 10:45 a.m .

After the ceremony the public is invited back to the branch for a reception.

A reminder they are accepting applications for the Veteran Banners until 30 June for this fall Remembrance display in the city. https://lethbridgeveteransbanners.ca/

We still have memorial bricks available to honour a loved one who served.
