Biscuits, photographs, and popular culture converge in an installation that traces unexpected links between everyday objects and imperial histories. 📷️🩷👀

Opening June 6 at our Entrance Wall, 𝘉𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦: 𝘙𝘦𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘺 pairs archival photographs from Museum London’s collection with artist Zinnia Naqvi’s video installation 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵-𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘉𝘰𝘹.

Moving between archive and home video, the installation unsettles familiar ways of seeing, opening space for complexity, contradiction, and reimagined narratives beyond the colonial frame.

Today is World Meditation Day, a reminder to pause, breathe, and nurture our mental and emotional well-being. 🍃

Art and wellness are deeply connected—both invite us to slow down, notice more, and be present. In creative practice, as in meditation, there’s space to reflect, to feel, and to reconnect with ourselves in new and meaningful ways. Often, our most inspired ideas don’t come from doing more, they emerge when we soften our pace, make room for stillness, and allow new perspectives to take shape.

✨ If you’re feeling called to reconnect with both your creativity and your sense of calm, we invite you to participate in our Guided Meditation for Creatives programming. Blending gentle movement, mindful breathwork, and creative visualization, these experiences are designed to support both inner balance and creative flow.

📅 Saturday, June 27
🕚️ 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM

Experience 𝘓𝘪𝘥𝘰 𝘗𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢: 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 before it's too late! ❤️

Since last fall, Lido's handcrafted ceramics have filled our Entrance Wall with so much warmth, honouring the matriarchs, neighbours, and vibrant communities of Colombia’s Caribbean North Coast.

Joyful, defiant, and full of heart, Lido’s work pushes back against colonial narratives while centering love, identity, and community. Find her work on view until May 31.

Coming soon to our Atrium: 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘔𝘤𝘊𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳: 𝘋𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 🤍🌿🖤

Opening May 23, 𝘋𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 is an expansive, site-specific installation by Toronto-based textile and embroidery artist Amanda McCavour (). Drawing from her 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 series, the work brings together more than 400 stitched elements.

𝘋𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 invites visitors to look closely and observe how delicate thread forms interact with space and light, offering a reflection on how we find strength in connection.
