The Oshawa Museum (OM) preserves and promotes awareness and appreciation of Oshawa’s history for the education, enrichment and enjoyment of a diverse audience. As the only community museum in Oshawa we take great pride in showcasing the history of our city from the earliest First Nation occupation to the end of WWII. The OM is administered by the Oshawa Historical Society, a not for profit charitable institution, as an external agency of the City of Oshawa. We work in partnership with many community cultural organizations including Heritage Oshawa which is the Municipal Heritage Committee, comprised of Council appointed volunteers. Heritage Oshawa advises City Council on properties of cultural heritage value which are worthy of designation.

Planning your Halloween outings? Get your tickets in advance for Halloween at the Harbour on Saturday, October 24, from 6–8 PM. Enjoy Victorian mysteries, spooky science, family-friendly frights, and face painting at the Oshawa Museum. Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged!

Admission is $7.50 per person, $5 for guests under 5, and FREE for members.

Take a trip through time and learn about the rich 120-year history of Alexandra Park!

A new temporary outdoor history exhibition, created in partnership with Oshawa Museum, has been placed in the south end of the park, diving into the various uses of the space and its surrounding area.
