The Morrin Centre is a nationally recognized heritage site and leading English-language cultural centre located in the heart of historic Old Quebec City. Built over 200 years ago as one of the city’s first jails, it now houses one of the world’s most beautiful libraries. Joignez-vous à l’éducatrice et la créatrice de bandes dessinées primée Joana Mosi pour une soirée de création de zines et une rencontre avec l’autrice!

Dans le cadre du projet "Exprime-toi — D'une pensée à un zine", l'équipe du Morrin Centre s'allie avec Éditions Pow Pow et reçoit l'artiste portuguaise Joana Mosi pour une activité double : un atelier de création de zine (18 h 30) et une rencontre avec l'autrice (19 h 30). Ne manquez pas cette occasion rare de rencontrer, d’apprendre et de vous inspirer de l’un des talents émergeants les plus importants de la scène européenne de la bande dessinée!

As part of the "Express Yourself—From Thought to Zine," the Morrin Centre team is partnering with Pow Pow Press to welcome the Portuguese artist Joana Mosi for a double event: a zine-creation workshop (6:30 p.m.) and an author event (7:30 p.m.). Don’t miss this rare chance to meet, learn from, and be inspired by one of the most important emerging talents in the European comics scene!

Have you ever attended one of our Afternoon Teatime - L'Heure du thé activities?

Solo, with friends, or with family, settle in for an unforgettable immersive and interactive experience in our beautiful Victorian library. Lean about tea history and etiquette, enjoy some traditional Victorian games and activities, and (of course) taste a number of teas as well as sweet and savory snacks. What's not to love!

As part of a larger project about literary translation with activities taking place during the 2026 Imagination Festival, the Morrin Centre team has been putting together a bibliography of titles written by Quebec city writers or translators, written about Quebec City, or set in Quebec City. Have you read some of the bibliography titles already?

In 2026, the Morrin Centre celebrated the seventeenth Imagination Writers' Festival. From April 21 to 26, a diverse, rich selection of acclaimed and emerging authors and artists were brought together for this expression of the vitality of Canadian literature and culture.

A month ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming author Will Ferguson at the Morrin Centre for a fantastic Books & Tea activity punctuated by laughter and anecdotes, where he presented his book "Meanwhile, Back in Nokomis: Tales from Canada and Elsewhere."
Earlier this month, Ferguson joined journalist Piya Chattopadhyay on CBC Radio 's The Sunday Magazine to take listeners on a radio road trip across the country... a road trip that included a "stop" at the Morrin Centre!
