We’ll be posting more videos of Kim Wilkie talking about individual artworks in her current exhibition soon, but wanted to give you a sense of the exhibition as a whole! 🤩

Primarily an abstract painter, Kim creates vibrant paintings and sculptures full of joy, energy & life. A graduate of Western’s Fine Art program, Kim has been incorporating stitching in her art for decades, fusing fine art & craft media. From “thought forms”, abstract stitched works and collage to textile paintings and sculptures incorporating thrifted needlepoints, the exhibition is a celebration of colour, the landscape and traditional women’s work. On display until December 14.

Come see the exhibition and be inspired by the incredible variety of work (most of it completed in the last 2 years!) and the wonderful ways that Kim explores abstract, landscape and floral themes to create unique paintings and sculptures that merge fine art and craft in beautiful, original and joyful ways! 🤩

Join us at Agora Gallery for the opening of a fabulous exhibition of recent work by KIM WILKIE on Saturday, November 15 from 7 to 9pm! The exhibition celebrates the Artist’s recent explorations in painting, textile and sculpture. From abstract paintings inspired by her subconscious (which often contain stitch-like marks) to vase-like sculptures featuring thrifted needlepoints and acrylic paint, textiles have been an important feature in Wilkie’s work from her student days at Western University. She has exhibited her work regularly in public and private galleries since graduating in 2006, the year she also received the Embroiderer’s Guild Award! Many of you will remember her remarkable sculpture Forget Me Not, featured in our Summer Exhibition this year, shown here.

KIM WILKIE will be on display until December 14, 2025. Agora Gallery will be open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm (closed Monday & Tuesday).
