FEVER ST. CLAIR W. — A LEGACY IN COMUNIDAD
Soccer Stories – St. Clair 1930–2026 & Beyond

A heartfelt thank you to our media friends, artists, volunteers, community members, organizations, and everyone who stopped to help, paint, encourage us, share a story, or simply take a moment to see what was happening.
With great respect and warmest gratitude, we also celebrate Spain and its participation and achievements in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
This project has become much more than a mural.
Football Fever St. Clair connects soccer history, public art, culture, diversity, friendship, and the stories of the people who call Toronto home.
The original FIFA World Cup community mural began here in 2014, with support from StreetART Toronto (StART). In 2026, as Toronto welcomed the world for the FIFA World Cup, artists and community members returned to this historic artwork to revive it and continue its story.
For us, this is not simply a restoration.
It is a continuation of a community story.
We called “Soccer Stories – St. Clair 1930–2026” a “World in a City” because it brings together the history and spirit of the with the multicultural character of Toronto.
The mural celebrates football legends, World Cup history, nations and cultures, and the generations of people who have made soccer part of their lives.
🎨 Pincelada Colectiva — The Collective Brushstroke
One of the most meaningful parts of the 2026 revival has been our community painting days.
Children, families, neighbours, artists, pedestrians, and community members stopped to participate.
Some painted directly on the mural. Others brought their families, shared stories, encouraged the artists, took photographs, or simply stopped to watch the transformation.
Every person contributed something.
Every brushstroke became part of the story.
That is what we believe public art can be: not something that people only look at, but something they can participate in, feel connected to, and make their own.
This mural has also become a cultural bridge between and , , through our connection with Asociación Cultural Antonio Montes , led by Antonio MontesMaestro and Director Jeny Alfaro, together with our community partners in Canada and beyond.
Like the in our projects, this mural reminds us that culture, creativity, friendship and community have no borders.
From 2014 to 2026 and beyond.
The revival honours those who helped create the original mural while welcoming a new generation of children, families, artists and neighbours.
It reminds us where we came from, celebrates where we are today, and helps us imagine what we can create together tomorrow.
As Toronto welcomed the world through the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we were reminded that the spirit of the World Cup lives not only inside stadiums.
It lives in our neighbourhoods.
It lives in families watching together, children discovering the game, cultures meeting one another, neighbours becoming friends, and people stopping to say:
“How can I help?”
And to everyone who did exactly that — THANK YOU.
We are especially grateful to everyone who stopped, painted, volunteered, shared, encouraged, photographed, promoted, supported, or simply believed in this project.
We would also be truly honoured to receive messages from our collaborators, artists, volunteers, organizations and community members that we can share as part of this collective celebration.
We are grateful as well for the support and message from the Embassy of Spain in Ottawa, which will be shared with our community.
