In "Piercing Gaze," I portray a woman whose blue eyes demand attention rather than simply observe. The textured surface and vibrant colors contrast with natural wood and metallic accents; golden areas act as a protective layer alongside delicate lace and red blossoms. Protruding nails and relief-like structures create a raw topography that deliberately leaves the image open to personal interpretation. What story lies in her gaze? Share a word or a feeling in the comments—I'm eager to hear your interpretations. A striking focal point that will add a unique touch to your space. I painted " Mind on fire" on wood panels to let the grain itself become part of the story. Clouds and textured elements rise from her head, portraying a mind suspended between memory and something more elusive. Warm wood tones meet cool blues; small metal accents punctuate the surface like scattered thoughts. When I worked on her face I wanted one side to feel rooted and the other to drift — which side speaks to you? Tell me the first word that comes to mind. If this piece calls to you, I can imagine it bringing a quietly provocative note to a living room or studio.

Drawing flowers on wood feels like a quiet conversation with nature.
Each line follows the grain, each petal grows from the heart of the tree.
Pencil, wood, and a moment of stillness — that’s all it takes to let a small garden bloom in your hands.

There’s a special kind of magic when varnish touches texture.
The valleys darken, the peaks catch the light, and the whole painting feels like it’s taking a deeper breath—ready to be seen, touched, and lived with.

In Whispering Rain, the world is blurred by water and memory.
It’s not just about sadness, but about the soft cleansing that follows—when every raindrop becomes a small act of forgiveness falling from the sky.

PRIMING THE PAINTING : It’s not the glamorous part of painting, but it’s where the work really begins—sealing, smoothing, preparing a foundation that will hold every layer of emotion that comes next.
Good paintings start with good preparation. 😃www.sandraabouabdo.com

Devil is in the Details: quiet afternoon in the atelier, just me, the smell of oil and wood, and another soul slowly appearing on the surface.

There’s something so satisfying about the final step: brushing on that last layer of varnish. The colors deepen, the surface comes to life, and the painting finally feels “finished.”
Today I sealed a new piece, and it’s officially ready to leave the studio and find its home 😃🥳

Sometimes, the journey to our dreams begins with a single, gentle sail—stitched from memories, poetry, and the quiet strength of nature. This piece is a tribute to the courage it takes to set out into the unknown, guided by the moon and the stories we carry within us.

I love blending organic materials like wood and lace with vibrant, textured paint to create a sense of both nostalgia and wonder. The city below is a dreamscape—part memory, part hope—while the boat invites you to drift between worlds.

What dreams are you ready to set sail for tonight? Let your imagination wander and share your thoughts :)

“Dreamcatcher Harmony” is a tranquil blend of nature and spirituality, centered around a beautifully detailed dreamcatcher. Soft greens and warm golds create a peaceful landscape, while silhouetted figures gently interact, symbolizing unity and connection. The intricate webbing of the dreamcatcher draws the eye, offering a sense of protection and hope.

This piece invites viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the harmony found in both nature and human relationships. It’s a calming addition to any space, perfect for those seeking inspiration and serenity in their environment.

What does this scene evoke for you?
