Stefan Kiehne, Kurator und Gründer der Full Moon Gallery, eröffnete den Abend gemeinsam mit Rüdiger Steinke, Landesjugendpfarrer der Evangelischen Jugend in Sachsen.

Rüdiger Steinke kennt Hana seit seiner Ankunft in Deutschland und sprach über die ersten Jahre seines Weges hier – über Ankommen, Begegnungen und die Entwicklung seines künstlerischen Weges.

Die ausgestellten Arbeiten bewegen sich zwischen abstrakten Formen und subtilen surrealen Elementen. Vertraute Strukturen treffen auf imaginäre Räume, Formen scheinen eine Richtung anzudeuten, ohne einen eindeutigen Weg vorzugeben. Die Werke laden dazu ein, sich zwischen Orientierung und Orientierungslosigkeit, Bewegung und Stillstand zu bewegen.

Ausgehend von Hanas persönlicher Geschichte entwickelte sich im Laufe des Abends ein breiter Austausch über Identität, Zugehörigkeit, Freiheit und die Suche nach dem eigenen Weg – nach einer Richtung, die nicht von außen vorgegeben wird, sondern sich im Inneren entwickelt.

Ein Abend voller Begegnungen, Gespräche und neuer Perspektiven.

NO DIRECTION ist noch bis zum 25. Oktober in der Full Moon Gallery zu sehen.

Stefan Kiehne, curator and founder of Full Moon Gallery, opened the evening together with Rüdiger Steinke, State Director of the Evangelical Youth in Saxony.

Rüdiger Steinke has known Hana since his arrival in Germany and spoke about the early years of his journey here — about arriving, encounters, and the development of his artistic path.

The works on display move between abstract forms and subtle surreal elements. Familiar structures meet imagined spaces, forms seem to suggest a direction without offering a clear path. The paintings invite us to move between orientation and disorientation, movement and stillness.

From Hana’s personal story, the conversation gradually opened up into a broader exchange around identity, belonging, freedom, and the search for one’s own path — for a direction that is not given from the outside, but develops from within.

An evening full of encounters, conversations, and new perspectives.

NO DIRECTION is on view at Full Moon Gallery until 25 October.

Hana Hazem Arabi ist ein syrischer multidisziplinärer Künstler mit Sitz in Deutschland. Seine künstlerische Praxis umfasst Malerei, Installation, Performance und Videokunst und beschäftigt sich mit Themen wie Identität, Vertreibung, Freiheit, dem Körper und dem Verhältnis zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft.

2019 begann Hana sein Studium an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (HGB), wo er seine künstlerische Praxis weiterentwickelte und an zahlreichen Ausstellungen und künstlerischen Projekten in Deutschland und international beteiligt war.

Während seines Studiums nahm er unter anderem an der Ausstellung „Verletzbare Subjekte“ im Zentrum für Aktuelle Kunst in der Zitadelle Berlin teil.
Im Februar 2026 schloss er sein Studium an der HGB Leipzig ab. Seine Arbeiten wurden unter anderem in Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin und Wien präsentiert.

Hana Hazem Arabi is a Syrian multidisciplinary artist based in Germany. His artistic practice spans painting, installation, performance, and video art, exploring themes of identity, displacement, freedom, the body, and the relationship between the individual and society.

In 2019, Hana began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB), where he further developed his artistic practice and participated in numerous exhibitions and artistic projects in Germany and internationally.

During his studies, he participated, among others, in the exhibition “Verletzbare Subjekte” at the Zentrum für Aktuelle Kunst in the Zitadelle Berlin.

Hana graduated from HGB Leipzig in February 2026. His work has been presented in Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, Vienna, and other European cities.

Am Sonntag konnten Besucher*innen in Leonore Adlers vielschichtige und farbintensive Bildwelten eintauchen. Zwischen leuchtenden Farben, überlagerten Strukturen und fragmentierten Formen entstanden hybride Landschaften aus Insekten, Pflanzen und organischen Elementen, die sich ständig zu verändern scheinen.
Ihre Arbeiten spielen mit Übergängen und Transformationen – Motive wachsen ineinander, lösen sich auf und tauchen an anderer Stelle wieder auf. So entsteht eine lebendige, fast traumartige Bildsprache, in der auch das Kleine und das oft Übersehene eine besondere Präsenz erhält.
Geprägt von Austausch, Begegnungen und einer wunderbar warmen Atmosphäre war die Vernissage ein gelungener Auftakt der Ausstellung.

On Sunday, visitors immersed themselves in Leonore Adler’s layered and vibrant visual worlds. Bright colors, overlapping structures, and fragmented forms created hybrid landscapes of insects, plants, and organic elements that seem to be in constant transformation.
Her works explore transitions and metamorphosis – motifs merge, dissolve, and reappear elsewhere. This creates a vivid, almost dreamlike visual language in which even the smallest and often overlooked elements gain a strong presence.
Characterised by exchange, encounters, and a wonderfully warm atmosphere, the opening was a beautiful start to the exhibition.
