Why do some images feel familiar before we know why?

In CHURN, N H K explores time, memory, and transformation through a vivid interplay of colour, ornament, and simplified forms. Drawing on folk art, personal memory, and the visual language of the “naive,” her paintings move between figuration and abstraction, repetition and change. Like churning butter, forms are continuously transformed while retaining traces of their origins - becoming carriers of identity, cultural memory, and lived experience.

Upcoming Show Fabian Lehmann ACCELERATION STRATEGIES
Opening, Oct 30, 7-9 pm
Exhibition, Oct 31 - Dec 26, 2026

In his artistic practice, Fabian Lehmann takes a historical look at the development of technology. In his solo show “Acceleration Strategies,” he focuses on its relationship to speed and understands technology not as a neutral tool but as a force that shapes thought, social relations, power structures and worldviews. In his sculptural works, he juxtaposes digital and analog technologies using artifacts, remnants and 3D-printed reconstructions, emphasizing the development process to which both belong. He questions whether “progress” necessarily means improvement, what is lost along the way and who decides what counts as outdated. He also examines how the share of human handwork in collaboration with machines is shifting and how technology changes our relationship to the world.
