F2 Galería tiene el placer de anunciar el comienzo de su colaboración con la artista Nieves González (Huelva, España, 1996), que tendrá su primera individual en la galería a inicios del 2027.
Nieves González se aproxima a la tradición pictórica como mujer del siglo XXI que reconoce las omisiones y silencios del canon. Su práctica constituye un acto de reescritura consciente: donde la iconografía clásica representó a las mujeres como santas o musas, ella las coloca en el centro de su obra y les devuelve a su condición de agentes activas, poseedoras de conocimiento y competencia.
Bajo cada imagen late la presencia de, Ribera, Zurbarán o Caravaggio, pero filtradas a través de una conciencia que cuestiona sus premisas. Los cánones establecidos sufren una metamorfosis deliberada, lo sagrado se desplaza de la santidad institucional al gesto cotidiano del contexto contemporáneo, conectando con la actualidad y elevando su significado. Lo femenino se revela como estructura fundacional de lo humano.

F2 Galería is pleased to announce its collaboration with Nieves González (Huelva, Spain, 1996), who will have her first solo exhibition at the gallery in early 2027.
Nieves González approaches the pictorial tradition as a 21st-century woman who recognizes the omissions and silences of the canon. Her practice constitutes an act of conscious rewriting: where classical iconography represented women as saints or muses, she places them at the center of her work and restores their status as active agents, possessors of knowledge and competence.
Beneath each image lies the presence of Ribera, Zurbarán, and Caravaggio, but filtered through a consciousness that questions their premises. Established canons undergo a deliberate metamorphosis: the sacred shifts from institutional holiness to the everyday gesture and the contemporary context, connecting with the present and elevating its meaning. The feminine reveals itself as a foundational structure of the human.
