re. Happily, along the way, the Advertising Standards Authority concluded that Aces High has become ‘the world’s foremost specialists in aviation and military art’. Always aiming to increase our range of original artwork, signed editions, exclusive books and a myriad of other collector items, we try to provide an unparalleled source for other like-minded enthusiasts. Throughout our journey we’ve been fortunate to meet many wonderful people: loyal collectors, many of the world’s finest artists but, perhaps more importantly, it has enabled us to share the company of hundreds of wonderful veterans, past and present. The heroic deeds of these men and women have not only formed the foundation of our business but have helped to shape the free world in which we live today – they are very special people indeed. OUR GALLERIES
Be prepared for a warm welcome – we pride ourselves on it! Enter the door to an Aces High Gallery and you’ll be greeted by an unforgettable sight. In front of you is a huge range of affordable items sitting side-by-side with wonderful original artwork. Our home gallery, host to frequent yet unique signing events with veterans, is situated in the historic market town of Wendover nestling beneath the beautiful Chiltern Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within easy reach of London. Many of the items on sale and display here have been created by our on-site framing studio, a place where old-fashioned craftsmanship co-exists with the latest technology. Originality and quality aren’t just words to our team here – they’re an obsession. Our second gallery is in France at the very centre of Ste-Mère-Église famed for its role during the US Airborne landings on D-Day. Many of the pieces on sale here, whether it’s an inexpensive post card or poster or a stunning original painting, relate to the Normandy landings of June 1944 and a visit to the gallery is a ‘must’ for anyone doing a tour of the D-Day beaches. Our third ‘gallery’ is mobile - we hold temporary exhibitions at many of the world’s leading military and aviation shows where you’ll find a selection of our finest and affordable pieces. The surroundings may indeed be temporary but the warmth of our welcome is guaranteed to be everlasting. WWW.ACES-HIGH.COM

✨NEW COLLECTOR’S RELEASE
Despite facing segregation and prejudice at home, the Tuskegee Airmen went on to become one of the most respected fighter groups of the Second World War.

Their distinctive red-tailed Mustangs became legendary over Europe, escorting Allied bombers deep into enemy territory and helping to secure victory in the skies.

🎨 ‘Men of the Fighting Red Tails’ by Robert Taylor is a powerful new tribute to these pioneering aviators.

✅ Two editions available, with up to SEVEN veteran autographs from Tuskegee Airmen, alongside an original Legacy Remarque by Richard Taylor!

A remarkable piece of aviation history, honouring a remarkable group of men.

The pilots of the 404th Fighter Group had been up for hours, woken by the heavy drone of aircraft rumbling over their makeshift airfield bordering the New Forest. Unlike most Allied fighter units, the 404th FG had only been operational for a few weeks but in that short time had observed the hundreds of ships gathering along the south coast and the countless numbers of troops, armoured vehicles and stores being assembled. Led by the inspirational former Eagle Squadron Ace Colonel Carroll ‘Red’ McColpin the 404th, like everyone else, knew the invasion of France was about to happen but weren’t entirely sure when. As they mustered in the early hours of 6 June 1944, they not only discovered that today was D-Day, but that the huge invasion fleet they’d recently seen mustering in the nearby waters of the Solent had sailed and was now approaching the beaches of Normandy.

To commemorate the events of D-Day, Anthony Saunders has completed ‘Normandy Thunder’, a striking painting that depicts P-47 Thunderbolts of the 506th Fighter Squadron, 404th Fighter Group over the seawall of St-Aubin-sur-Mer, the small town that would witness some of the fiercest fighting along Juno Beach stormed by the Canadian Third Division. By nightfall, however, as the P-47s returned home after their fourth and final mission of the day, the Canadians on Juno beach would have penetrated deeper inland than any other Allied unit on D-Day.
