A cold morning, a warm conversation, and a lot of inspiration.
We had the best time at the Salisbury Art Scene — talking to artists, visitors, and art lovers about what makes the creative community here in Hampshire so special. It reminded us exactly why Unity Art Studio exists: to give artists a real place to create, connect, and grow.

A little update from us, and some words we want to say properly.
Emily and Badger have decided to move Brock Art on to their next adventure, and we want to wish them well as they do. They brought real warmth to the shop space over the past two years, and the community they built around them is a testament to what they put in.
It’s bittersweet when things change, and we won’t pretend otherwise. But we’re excited about what Unity is becoming, and we’re looking forward to sharing that with you.
The studio is open, the artists are here, and the next chapter is just beginning. 🖤

Sam Biddle’s will be taking up space in the shop demonstrating her painting for a further 2 weeks - until we decide what will go in the shop next - watch this space!

Sam Biddle is currently painting in the gallery while The Pink List is on show at Unity Art Studio.

Visitors can step into the exhibition, see the work in progress, and speak to Sam directly about the ideas and process behind the paintings.

The Pink List is a vivid portrait series of animal-based characters with unmistakably human attitudes, each one loaded with personality, tension and wit.

If you’ve not seen it yet, this is a good moment to come in.

Steve Harrington-Ellsmore is showing in the main gallery at Unity Art Studio.

His exhibition, Inhabiting the Real, explores the meeting point between the seen world and imagined forms. The paintings are vivid and intricate, layered with colour, pattern and fragments that feel part landscape, part inner map. Standing in front of them, you notice how the surfaces breathe and shift, rewarding a patient eye.

The show runs from 10 February to 7 March.
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

OCULARIS is now showing in our Main Gallery at Unity Art Studio.

This exhibition explores the mind of local artist Andy Biggs, where pattern, structure, and imagination collide. Expect richly layered work that pulls you into its own strange logic, part map, part dream, full of movement and detail. The kind of pieces you can stand in front of for ages and keep finding new routes through.

If you love work that feels immersive, intricate, and slightly other-worldly, this one’s for you.

Caroline Perkins published her first book.
Mark Making Through Grief is an art workbook, rich with images, and rooted in a practice that carried me through bereavement. We are so pleased she finished it.
It condenses the experiential work she undertook undertook during the Artist Takeover at The Chapel (), and the Grief in Layers work made last summer in the gallery at .
Mark making with no outcome was unexpectedly healing for Caroline. I would express
Her emotions on the gallery wall, at the end of each day It was covered up with white paint.

The practice was devotional, like a prayer, of the way people go to the Western Wall in Jerusalem to leave their words and return to them, changed
