Serendipitous evening last night with ‘man of the moment’ - in a warm and incisive Q&A at before the Brighton premier of his new movie Normal.
Guns, sheriffs, blizzards, wounds, the magnificent Bob Odenkirk, more guns and wounds, the equally magnificent Fonz 👍🏻 - all chasing their tales in this neo-western-nourish,sharp witted thrill ride that had me smiling most of the time, as did the ace chat after!

NoHAWKERS is pleased to present an exhibition of props, rare posters and ephemera from the cinema of Ben Wheatley.
Film director Wheatley’s work blends psychological horror, dark comedy, and historical surrealism with a lo-fi approach and experimental techniques. His work ranges from low-budget shoot-‘em-ups to Hollywood blockbusters.
For the first time, his creative universe is explored through a curated display of handcrafted materials from key works including Kill List, A Field in England, Sightseers and Bulk. These physical objects and artefacts reveal key processes of the cinematic atmosphere Wheatley creates.

Fantastic opening for ‘Leisure’ by Jack O’Brien at Maureen Paley’s gallery in Hove , Morena di luna.
The late afternoon sunlight set off these seductive sculptures of fused and integrated objects beautifully though I need to revisit to receive a clearer understanding of their provocative allure!
