Currently LUMEN Designs has a beautiful new Harris Tweed collection 'Shifting Light' available to pre-order.

Rooted in their classic workwear designs, this collection features brand new colours of iconic Harris Tweed fabric that capture the turn of the seasons on our stunning home island.

This weekend is your last chance to catch Deljeem Rai's exhibition 'Cearns' at An Lanntair Stornoway!

Through intimate portraiture and environmental photography, Cearns celebrates the people and place that make up this vibrant community - giving residents the opportunity to share their stories, their home and their identity on their own terms.

The exhibition offers a different perspective on life in the Outer Hebrides, challenging assumptions about island communities and highlighting the Cearns as a vital part of contemporary island culture.

This exhibition is a part of the Season of Photography 2026 - a celebration of photography in Scotland running from 1 September – 20 December 2026

LOCAL EXHIBITION OPENING TONIGHT ✨

Grinneabhat Exhibition Opening: 'Croit' by Jenny Smith

An exhibition of experimental, mixed-media drawings and prints by Jenny Smith.

This new work explores the imprints and impressions of her everyday life and experience as an artist and crofter living and working on the Isle of Lewis. It examines the way objects and experiences both hold and create stories, foregrounding the rich cultural heritage of both crofting and storytelling in the Highlands and Islands.

Opening Event: October 3rd, 6pm - 8pm
Exhibition Run: 3rd October – 28th November

It's the FINAL DAY of the Island Darkroom summer season!! Make sure to stop in before 5pm to say hello if you're passing 🌤️ we'll be taking a well deserved break for a few weeks then will be hitting the workshop again at the end of October - things coming up include the Cyanotype Animation workshop with the Sustainable Darkroom (check out the link in our bio!) and Studio Stay hosting 🤗 the fun never stops!

Although the weather didn't reflect it, we've had an amazing summer - thank you to all the artists, visitors and our amazing community who were a part of it 💙
