From the Conflict Series.
Stop Calling Dead Children Collateral Damage You Fu***rs, a monumental bowl whose rim is pierced by sixteen four-inch nails, cradling a single pair of children’s shoes.
In Jason’s words, this work “reaches out helplessly to the thousands of young children murdered in Gaza.”

Jason Wason at 80 - Retrospective

These are two examples of preservation boxes made by Jason Wason, cast into bronze. Square and flat, with defensive elements along the sides, and small cavities in the centre that can be sealed with a lid.

The title ‘Devil’s Box of Tricks, “alludes to the ... fundamental Christians’ belief that their “God” created the world in seven days. Presented with fossil evidence to the contrary in Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, there view was that the Devil planted fossils to trick us.” - Jason Wason
