Do you remember what was shown on the screen in the small cinema at the Shipwreck Centre? Some people recall a film being played, while others remember a slideshow of still images. The images shared here come from those slides, which have recently been added to our archive.

The only known photograph of Charlestown's upper, number 2 or Carbean Clay Dry, which was later incorporated within the old Foundry site. The photo is undated but likely to have been taken in the years before the Great War, when horse-powered transport was still predominant in the clay industry. It may well be the only one showing the dry under working conditions. If any of our readers know differently, we'd love to hear from you. (Credits & Thanks: History Group. CHG/SM1174/P2080). , )
