A section of our ever changing coastline that has been quite severely affected by landslides in recent years.... This is East Cliff at West Bay, Nr Bridport on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The distinctive cliff formations here have seen frequent rock falls, as has the neighboring Burton Bradstock section. In this view captured a few years back I positioned myself near the jetty to include the small pointed rock in the foreground and used a slower exposure to record some movement in the waves lapping on the shore. A very clear day on which you can also see the Isle of Portland on the centre right horizon.

A year ago we were on our 3 week road trip along the "Wild Atlantic Way" in Western Ireland, where we enjoyed stunning weather (different this year!) and the wonderfully dramatic scenery offered by the Emerald Isle. One favourite spot for an overnight stay was here at Eyrephort beach, Connemara, County Galway. This was the colourful view from the motorhome a little while after sunset.

Old favourite to share today....
This was a winters afternoon at Wast Water, Lake District back in 2006. I still recall being amazed at at stunning reflections on display that cold and still afternoon.

One from the archives to share today....
New build A1 Pacific No. 60163 "Tornado", with the nicely matching LNER Teak stock, catches a strong glint as it approaches Bewdley Tunnel, Severn Valley Railway with a "Steam Recreations" photo charter on 7th October 2015.

A favorite place and view here in Somerset - the famous Cheddar Gorge. This view is only obtainable by using a drone, and at the right time of year the evening light shines nicely onto the cliffs to illuminate them, as in this image captured on a early summer evening a few years back when we had our gallery located there.

The view from the hillside looking across to Tryfan and Llynn Ogwen, Snowdonia on a March morning a few years back. One of my favourite views in Snowdonia and always worth the stiff uphill climb.

One of my favourite views in the UK.....
The view across Sheileboist beach on the Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides, looking across the deserted beach and turquoise waters of the Sound of Taransay towards the Harris Mountains. On this particular occasion there was a biting cold northly wind, and I was stood there with coat, hat, gloves and scarf trying to keep at least a bit protected whilst I waited for the sun to break through the clouds and illuminate the scene. Well worth it though.

One of the Great Little Trains of Wales....
The vale of Rheidol Railway climbs up into the mountains at Devils Bridge from Aberystwyth, and was British Rail's last steam worked line, albeit narrow gauge, until sold as a private heritage railway in the 1990's. The railway has painted its fleet of three Great Western tanks into BR liveries currently, and here we see No. 8, in BR Black with 4 matching Carmine & Cream coaches, catching some late afternoon sunshine as it climbs away from the intermediate station at Nantyronen during as photo charter.

Another double-headed photo charter I ran on the WSR. This time we have a Manor & Castle combination with 7822 "Foxcote Manor" piloting 5051 "Earl Bathurst" past Nethercott on the 13th March 2007. The maroon coaching stock is the SRPS set from Bo'ness near Edinburgh, which had been hired in for the spring gala weekends (we used to have two consecutive weekends in those days) and also did some mainline steam charters whilst down south.
