Nestled in a charming cottage garden is our beautiful art studio. We'll be using it to work on our own projects - but also hope to share with others some of the art and craft skills we have accumulated over the years (and of course the joy that making something with your hands brings). As model makers, animators and creative directors for studios such as Aardman we had to turn our hand to many dif
ferent disciplines - from wielding hammers and saws to making clothes, from designing characters to operating cameras. We'll generally be running small classes - for perhaps 4 people - for half and full day sessions. Half days will include refreshments and full days a lunchtime meal. We're already planning, drawing, photography, felt making, batik and jewellery classes. Regular 'family doodle breakfasts' and costumed/themed life drawing sessions are also on the cards.
