It's the first of October, so spooky season has definitely begun! It's also our last month of opening hours for 2026, so if you haven't been to see our exhibition of symbols and signs, now's the time to plan a visit.

In a fortnight's time, the Friends of Innerpeffray Library will present the annual Ted Powell Memorial Lecture at the Library schoolroom. Their convenor, Richard White, will talk on a subject dear to many hearts (and palates!), The World of Scotch Wh**ky.

The Library of Innerpeffray is delighted to be holding ‘Signs of the Times,’ our annual festival, from 4th-6th September 2026. A celebration of reading, the festival programme offers a weekend of talks and workshops, all in the setting of one of Perthshire’s hidden gems near Crieff – Scotland’s first public lending library, established in 1680.
