The Level 3 Award in Counter Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness gives delegates the knowledge and practical capability to strengthen their counter-terrorism-specific protective security. Developed by NaCTSO and endorsed by Counter Terrorism Policing, this new SFJ Awards qualification can aid organisations in reducing terrorist threats.

✔️ Key counter-terrorism legislation, including the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (also referred to as Martyn’s Law)
✔️ How to build and promote a positive organisational security culture
✔️ Principles of crime prevention and protective security measures
✔️ How to develop counter-terrorism preparedness plans and risk assessments
✔️ How to produce structured, evidence-based counter-terrorism recommendations

10th - 14th August 2026
28th September - 2nd October 2026
16th - 20th November 2026
The programme includes a multiple-choice examination, a written assignment (comprising a counter-terrorism risk assessment and preparedness plan), and a professional discussion.
