11:30am-1pm

Facilitated by award-winning writer Sadie Clark , The Writer’s Gym is a chance to get in your writing reps and flex your creative muscles.

These monthly sessions will be packed full of creative prompts and writing exercises (that will change each session) to help you generate material and strengthen your imagination - a bit like lifting weights for creative writing…

This workshop is priced on a sliding scale.

Option 1: £10
Option 2: £12
Option 3: £15

About the workshop leader:

Sadie Clark is an award-winning writer and performer based in West Yorkshire. Her writing explores big themes through an intimate lens, blending whip-smart observations with relatable emotional insights.

Her debut play ALGORITHMS, a ‘bisexual Bridget Jones for the online generation’, sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 before transferring to Soho Theatre (2020, 2021) and the Park Theatre (2024). ALGORITHMS won the TV Foundation’s Netflix Supported ‘Stage to Screen’ New Voice Award (2020), and was long-listed for the Tony Craze Award (2018). In 2021 Audible commissioned Sadie to adapt ALGORITHMS into a six-part original audio series which she starred in, alongside Alison Steadman, Desiree Birch and Joe Thomas. This audio adaptation, released in 2022, won a Silver ARIAS for ‘Best Drama’ (2023) and was shortlisted for the BBC Audio Drama Awards (2023).

Becoming Other performance today by

Becoming Other explores cycles of growth searching for transformation and release, like a creature that builds its own shelter before re-emerging in a new form.

HEART
COURAGE. COMPASSION. PRACTICE.
A 4-session creative mentoring programme for artists, writers and creative people led by Bryony Good.
HEART is a creative mentoring programme designed to help you build confidence, move through self-doubt, and develop a creative practice rooted in joy rather than judgement.
This programme supports artists, writers, makers, and creative practitioners who feel blocked, overwhelmed, perfectionistic, or disconnected from their work, and who are ready to rebuild a more courageous and compassionate relationship with creativity.

Saturdays, 10:00–11:30am
6 June
13 June
20 June
11 July

The cost for HEART is £120.
If paying in full feels difficult, you’re very welcome to pay in instalments, or we can explore a skills swap. I want this to feel accessible and workable, not like another barrier.
I don’t offer packages, subscriptions, or add-ons. I’m here as a mentor, to hold a space for your creativity, not to mimic capitalist agendas.
If you’d like to talk through options, just drop me an email and we can figure something out together.
