Good morning, happy Sunday. Our opening days throughout June will be Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Gates open today at 10.30 with the first train at 11. Cafe serving beverages, light lunches, cream teas, cakes and snacks, gift and bookshop all on site. Well behaved dogs on short leads welcome. Photo I took last week of Nigel and Lilian on a very hot bank holiday/half term week, it should be cooler this week.

Evening all, I have just been told that the food hygene team came to our cafe for an inspection on Wednesday and once again we have been awarded a 5 rating. Well done to Kay and the team.

Good morning, happy Bank Holiday Monday. Some advice from Lilian and Kay if you are visiting, drink plenty of water, wear a sun hat and slap on some sun cream. Yesterday was scorchio down there. We do allow dogs and have water bowls dotted around but there isn't a lot of shade at the station. Cafe, gift and bookshop on site. We are open until Friday this week and then we will be on to our June timetable Sunday - Tuesday.

Good morning, happy Sunday. We open today. Gates open 10.30, first train 11. We have a cafe serving beverages, light lunches, cakes and scrumptious cream teas. Our shop sells post cards and gifts, upstairs is the bookshop, which is more like a transport library, other subjects are covered but it is mostly transport related. Purchase a ticket and it is valid for the day. We look forward to seeing you.

Good afternoon all. Just one more sleep and then we open. Sunday 24th. Gates open 10.30. Cafe, shop and gift shop on site. Purchase a ticket and ride all the trains that day. Big question, did Jonathon finish painting carriage 67? you will have to come and see😂 Thanks to Irvine for photo. We look forward to seeing old friends and new and the weather is looking good too.

Good morning, happy Sunday. I called in for a catch up with Kay and Nigel who are busy getting ready for us to open on Sunday 24th May. Then I saw Jonathon busy working outside Toad Hall on carriage 67 giving it a new coat of paint. Carriage 67 is a replica that once ran on the Torrington and Marland 3' guage line. All our carriages were built here on site. Short film of Jonathon explaining what he is up to, he would have said more but my batteries were running out. We are looking forward to seeing you from Sunday 24th. Please check the pinned post at the top of the page for our opening days throughout our season.

Good morning, happy Sunday. A different view of Lilian on the platform (thanks to Irvine). It looks like they took down the hanging baskets this time, I have seen Nigel bash his head on one before when taking Lil up onto the platform🤣. Not long to wait now, we will open again on Sunday 24th May and we look forward to seeing you again.

Good morning happy Sunday. The train leaving platform 1 is Lilian. Thanks to Irvine for the photo. This is a glimpse at what happens at the end or begining of our season, nothing is where it should be🤣but we are often asked why there is track on the platform. The canopy gives some protection to the carriages over winter. We are closed at the moment but will open again on Sunday 24th May.

Good morning happy Sunday, apologies for absence last week I had a short holiday. Thanks to Irvine for this clip of Lilian shunting Covertcoat through the museum to the inspection pit for some routine maintenance, as usual Irvine was in the right place at the right time. We are closed now but open again on Sunday 24th May.
