Tom Snowdon Photography The ocean is where I find my inspiration. If my work speaks to you, I'd be honoured if you shared it with ot

I capture the colours, textures and movement of the coastline, creating fine art photography that reflects both the power and serenity of the sea. Venturing to remote locations off the beaten track, I strive in exploring and developing my photographic practice through new locations and elements within the natural world. Through professional practice, I have been able to discover the unspoilt landscape that our planet strives upon, investigating colours that harmonise emotions.

A NEW CHAPTER | THOMAS SNOWDON PHOTOGRAPHY

I’m excited to share the launch of my newly redesigned website! 🌊

After spending time rethinking and rebuilding the website from the ground up, I’m pleased to finally share a refreshed space that better reflects my photography, creative direction, and passion for the natural world.

The new website brings together my work across Land, Air & Sea, exploring the beauty of our landscapes, the intricate details of woodlands and wildlife, the ever-changing character of our coastlines, and the unique perspectives revealed from above.

Alongside an updated portfolio, you’ll find new galleries, refreshed descriptions, and a more intuitive way to explore my photography. There’s also more to discover about my approach, the stories behind my work, and the fine art prints available to bring a little of the natural world into your home.

This is more than just a new website; it’s a step forward in how I share my work, the places that inspire me, and the moments in nature that make me stop, look, and appreciate the world around us.

I’d love for you to take a look and let me know what you think!

Where Shadows Gather.

Storm clouds gather across the horizon, casting vast shadows over the landscape. Fleeting sunlight breaks through the shifting skies, spilling across vivid green fields and illuminating the countryside with golden light.

The Winding Thread.

Winding through the landscape, the old railway line traces a path through time, its enduring presence woven into the contours of the land. Above, a fleeting thread of colour stretches from the heavens, its vibrant hues reaching towards the fields below. For a brief moment, history and nature intertwine beneath a sky caught between shadow and light, leaving behind a quiet reminder that even the most fleeting moments can create something extraordinary.

Golden Divide.

Sometimes, the best photographs are the ones never planned.

As the storm clouds shifted, sunlight began to disperse across the Cornish countryside, illuminating vivid green fields and casting golden patches across the landscape. A rainbow emerged from the darkness, descending towards the River Camel. For a brief moment, the landscape was divided between shadow and sunlight, storm and serenity, as nature revealed a fleeting glimpse of its magic.

Kai.

A delicate crest of deep sapphire and midnight blue rises above a sea of liquid silver, its gentle curves catching the last traces of light. Beneath the surface, pale blue tones dissolve into one another, creating an ethereal softness that contrasts with the fine, dark line of the wave. A fleeting moment of movement, where water becomes form, colour becomes emotion, and the ocean reveals its quieter side. Kai is a reminder that even the smallest wave holds a world of beauty.

Hidden Beyond the Tide.

Captured from within the water, this secluded corner of the coast reveals a world of quiet beauty, where the sea meets rugged cliffs and every movement of the tide changes the scene. A hidden place that feels a world away from everything else.

Some places are best experienced, photographed and protected without revealing exactly where they are.

Liquid Silence.

A couple of weeks ago, I ventured into the water with my Aquapac housing, initially sceptical about what was possible with what is essentially a clear waterproof case. But once beneath the surface, I discovered a completely different perspective of the ocean.

Where the sea slows into gentle ripples, flowing textures and shifting shades of blue, even the smallest movements begin to take on a life of their own. Captured underwater, this intimate perspective reveals a quiet beauty that is easy to overlook from the shore.

Sapphire Shores.

Golden sands, sapphire waters and the kind of coastal colours that make you stop and take it all in. As the sunlight catches the shallows, shades of turquoise and deep blue unfold against the warm tones of the shore, all whilst revealing an old slipway hidden beneath the ocean bed and only revealed at low tide. A little slice of Cornwall that feels almost too perfect to be real.

A Quiet Haven.

Hidden along the Cornish coast, A Quiet Haven feels like a world away from everything. Emerald waters meet weathered stone, while the afternoon light gently reveals the colours and textures beneath the surface. A peaceful corner of Cornwall where everything seems to slow down.

Emerald Escape.

Hidden somewhere along the Cornish Coast, this secluded sanctuary feels like a world of its own, where the tide shifts through mesmerising shades of emerald green, turquoise shallows and deep ocean blue. As soon as the sun catches the water, it reveals the rocks beneath the surface, bringing the ever-changing textures of the sea to life.

One of those places that reminds me why I keep exploring the Cornish coastline.

Would you escape here?
