❗️Please don’t swim near the pier or river at Littlehampton❗️

If you’re visiting Littlehampton East Beach, please avoid swimming or bathing near the pier or the river. This area is clearly marked with red flags, two large banners and five warning signs.

The River Arun is one of the fastest flowing rivers in the UK. The currents where the river meets the sea are extremely dangerous.

If you'd like to swim:

✅ Swim between the red and yellow flags when our lifeguards are on duty
✅Only enter the water from the second section of beach opposite the seafront shops and onwards.

Please help keep everyone safe by sharing this lifesaving message with friends and family.

The Town Centre Car Parks are 5 minutes from the site. West Green and East Beach car parks are also nearby.

🚾Toilets on site at Coastguard Tower and Norfolk Gardens.

♿Wheelchair accessible site. Mobility scooter and wheelchair hire available from Shopmobility, Manor House Car Park.
