This time next week we'll be heading south for Park Event!

What started 15 years ago with an invitation in the post to a handful of London contacts, Park Event has grown into an unmissable event in some calendars.

This year is extra special. Park Event 2026 will introduce LIGHT WORK; a showcase of incredible artwork painted, sculpted, sketched and photographed by the lighting design community.

ZTA.PL, ZTA.70 Zooms and ZTA.50 and .35 Framers have been challenged to light each piece perfectly, as if they were in a nearby gallery.

Park Event, still in its original location, is well loved as a welcoming, unpretentious, informative and fun gathering of lighting friends. One really not to be missed.

Technology meets a natural phenomenon.

Created with Jason Bruges Studio, Arboreal Noise transforms a vehicle driveway into a digitally choreographed tree tunnel inspired by the Japanese concept of ‘komorebi’: sunlight dancing through overhead leaves.

Engineered around movement, colour and control, we co-designed and manufactured bespoke IP66 rated Frog-style single and twin modules which combine tuneable white technology, specialist asymmetric optics and DMX dimming to create animation after dark; turning an everyday thoroughfare into an immersive public art experience.

One of Jason Bruges Studio’s latest installations comes alive after dark at King’s Cross.

Delivering Shadow Inflorescence called for more than a standard solution. Designed to play a subtly animated experience to passers-by, this technically demanding brief sparked the creation of a new Croc. Discreetly positioned beneath bespoke canopies, these IP66 rated spotlights were engineered around a high output 4000K LED and a specialist optical system. Finished in metallic silver, the luminaires echo the moon: dappling light across the nocturnal gardens.

Simon Thorp's Dark Skies event goes from strength to strength.

In this month’s Lighting Journal magazine, Simon Thorp, Director at LAPD, reflects on the success of another switch‑off event in his local town of Hertford.

Visitors enjoyed a rich programme of activities, alongside a guided tour of the night sky led by Bayfordbury Observatory. While celebrating darkness, carefully considered artificial light was still essential; ensuring guests could move around safely and read information at activity stations.

We were also pleased to support the event with PC Amber light sources to minimise impact on local wildlife, alongside battery packs that removed the need for long cable runs across large areas.

Bespoke lighting connecting old and new at Pembroke College Cambridge.

A custom adaptation of BPX, a compact, modular puck, was developed with a domed frosted acrylic light guide. Used as suspended feature pendants throughout the campus, and wall mounted in various exterior locations.

Continuity was central to the architectural narrative, as award winning worked to connect historic buildings with brand new developments.

Bridging heritage and contemporary with elegantly considered light.

New luminaires were developed as part of a major redevelopment at Pembroke College, Cambridge; its most significant expansion since the 1300s.

Working alongside fellow B Corp certified and Employee Owned , clusters of three opal glass globes are suspended at varying heights, reaching almost 10 metres

Bespoke aluminium components supporting the Ø350mm orbs are finished in an aged bronze powder coat that reflects the college’s historic fabric.

Stoane Lighting and Sutton Vane Associates come together to transform the striking Grade I listed Hogarth Stair and Great Hall at 900-year-old St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

As part of the renovation of the North Wing, Sutton Vane Associates skilfully met the demand of no visible lighting fixtures. They thoroughly investigated the space and its access, and discovered that they could utilise old ventilation slots to project light to the floor from behind the ornate gilding. Our flexible made-to-order service allowed an easy-to-install bespoke threaded mount solution.

The heavily decorated ceiling is lit by surface mounted ZTA spotlights hidden on the upper window ledges. The result is the Great Hall is illuminated in a way that is both subtle and beautiful.

Similarly, as you climb the Hogarth Stairs, ZTA fixtures are positioned discreetly and sympathetically finished to bring the early 18th century paintings back to life. Special attention was made to minimise the reflection from the artworks' gloss surface.
