The Giggly Goat is a Contemporary Crafts Gallery. It is the place to find beautiful handmade products The Giggly Goat opened in March 2014.

We are so pleased to be part of the Norwich Lanes and to be showcasing a wonderful array of handmade loveliness. These include ceramics, glass, paintings, prints, greetings cards and jewellery. All of which are made in the UK by independent designer/makers. Come in and be inspired by all the beautiful things!

Walk with me to the Gallery.

As I walk between St Stephens Street & Lower Goat Lane, I see so many beautiful flowers 🌸🌼🌷
Walking with my youngest daughter slows me down & we notice the details, which in this case are all the flowers. We look at the colours, the petals & see how they smell!

My love for florals & botanicals can be seen in the gallery too - on the shutters & desk that I painted murals on, as well as in many of the products too.

We have joined in with the this May to create our gallery window! It has been such fun collecting a selection of red, white and blue products from our wonderful makers.

A GLIMPSE OF HISTORY: We love our location in the historic Norwich Lanes & discovering snippets of the buildings past occupants.

The last time we redecorated the shop front, we uncovered this beautiful gold lettering. We have since found out a bit about Oswald Sebley - a Jewellers and Watchmakers in the 1950s-1970s. It was such an exciting discovery and of course we had to leave it visible as a nod to the buildings history.

Once you're inside the gallery, you will notice an original safe. Installed originally for the safekeeping of money and now we use it for storage!

MOTHER'S DAY - Let's celebrate our Mumma's this March 💕 And all the other months too! It's been a real joy curating this collection with all the wonderful Mumma's I know in mind. There are so many different ways to be a Mother & they all need recognising with love.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Samuel Thomas has been showing his artwork with us at The Giggly Goat since we began in 2014.

He is a self-taught Norwich based artist, exhibiting & selling his artwork across East Anglia & London.

He creates pop art & dreamscape style landscape paintings, which are inspired by local coastal & countryside landscapes. Our fine city Norwich also features regularly too!
He produces original paintings & limited edition prints which we sell at The Giggly Goat, as well as commissioned paintings.

He describes his artwork as uplifting & optimistic in nature; full of colour & pattern - designed to lift our spirits so that we always live in a sunshine state of mind!

We recently spent a day reorganising the gallery & are so delighted with how much space it has given us, especially in the front room.
Another bonus is that our desk is now next to the radiator, hurrah to warmer days! It's only taken 12 years to find the winning layout haha!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: We love our location in the historic Norwich Lanes; home to hundreds of independent retailers, eateries, as well as museums and an independent cinema.

Lower Goat Lane is in the heart of the Lanes & we feel so lucky to call it our home. Tucked between Pottergate & St Giles; it is a great street for ambling along to reach the Market or St Benedicts Street.

THE GIGGLY GOAT: The back story.
In January 2014, my Mum and I popped into Jane Richards Interiors on Lower Goat Lane for the first time. We were searching for a particular fabric to reupholster a very cute secondhand sofa.
On collection of this fabric they told us that they were relocating & so the shop premises was going to be available to rent.
Fast forward a few sleepless nights & deep conversations, we decided to take a leap & sign the lease!
