Pablo Picasso’s Le Banderillas, in fine linocut print of 1962. Produced during Picasso’s lifetime and overseen by him. The original linocuts were pressed following Picasso’s own reduction technique. Together with Galerie Leiris, Picasso had agreed to publish the first portfolio of those originals at 42% of the size. This 1962 first edition therefore became scarce due a much superior quality to the reprint editions which followed in later years

In Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear, Van Gogh deliberately altered the formal geometry of Satō Torakiyo’s woodblock print rather than copying it passively. While the original geiko figures spanned across the entire sheet, Van Gogh actively compressed, cropped, and shifted the print's composition to the right edge of his canvas. This precise structural manipulation allowed him to accommodate the massive central mass of his own head, coat, and bandage. By repositioning these geikos, he created a calculated, geometric counterweight that balanced the heavy forms on the left, ensuring a harmonious and stable composition

Ray Fawcett (1934-1994) was accomplished in the era of British modernism and contemporary art. As such he developed an abstract style which shared context with contemporaries like Asger Jorn, Corneille and Ben Nicholson. No part of his picture is more important than any other, in comparison to his earlier style, which often tallied with the instinctive movement of the eye, vertically from the bottom

C. S. Lewis gave book vouchers to his godson, Lawrence Harwood, every Christmas, instead of books. Jokingly he would tell Harwood's mother that he was in no way qualified to advise his godson on literature, and so that he could make his own choice.
