Many of you may remember back in March I announced I would soon be taking on the old Umbrella Shop ☂️ in Ashton, a venue to run my art Workshops from. Unfortunately due to the vast amount of structural work, time and money needed on the property, it wasn't meant to be. Hey ho!

However, I'm still here, doing my Workshops, classes and party bookings, working mainly from Eclectic Avenue on Stamford Street in Ashton so please keep a eye on my page for events coming up.

Regarding the shop, I hear work has now begun and it will soon be a fabulous traditional sweet shop. I wish the future occupants every success.

Ill always have a soft spot for this amazing building and am sure going forward the owners of the sweetshop will do the Avenue proud.🍬🍭🍡🍫

KINTSUGI Japanese Vase - Perfectly imperfect.

Date: 16th October 2026
Time: 6.00pm - 9.00pm
Venue: Eclectic Avenue, 214 Stamford Street, Ashton under Lyne OL6 7LP
Price: £28 per person

Kintsugi is the traditional art of repairing broken pottery using a lacquer dusted with Gold or Silver.

It symbolises resilience, healing, rebirth and transformation. Finds beauty in imperfection. A powerful metaphor showing that our emotional wounds and hardships make us stronger and wiser than before.

Your 9"x12" stretched canvas will be prepared in advance with a coloured background and sketch. I will then take you through various techniques including how to use acrylic paint like watercolour to achieve the landscape image.

(The brave part) Using Gold Leaf we continue to the next stage and create the scars on the vase.

To reserve your seat, please message me direct or respond to this event link 16th October - KINTSUGI Japanese Vase - Perfectly imperfect.

Thank you

Today we finished off painting our clay magnets and our hand tealight holders!

And for those who completed theirs in record time we also did some Autumn inspired reverse stencilling of leaves, squirrels, mushrooms and hedgehogs.

A little inspiration and big imaginations! Mix them together and watch future generations flourish.

I absolutely love to witness the ideas and creativity come to life at these children's sessions.

I bring the materials, inspiration and the foundation to build on and before we know it everyone produces individualised works of art they are very proud of.

If you know a child who would love to get involved, please pass on...
My next Autumn session is on 7th November 2026. 12-2pm
£15 per child (group discounts for more than 2 children).
Light snack included

Please message me to reserve your place.
Adults to remain on premises for duration of event.

Thank you
