Ground is a soundwork and installation which tells the story of the earth underneath our feet, and the bedrock as a great connector which holds all histories (prehistoric, colonial, personal) as well as possible futures. The work explores concepts of the afterlife, the relationship between life and death, and the need to acknowledge the labour of other species. DARCH ask us to consider the soil, and the bedrock that holds it up, as a space that is shared equally amongst all species โ plants, animals and our ancestors, both human and more-than-human โ and one through which we can collectively bring into being a gentler and more compassionate world.
Mae Heaven in the Ground yn waith sain a gosodiad syโn adrodd hanes y ddaear o dan ein traed, aโr graigwely fel cysylltydd gwych syโn dal pob hanes (cynhanesyddol, trefedigaethol, personol) yn ogystal รข dyfodol posibl. Maeโr gwaith yn archwilio cysyniadau รดl-fywyd, y berthynas rhwng bywyd a marwolaeth, aโr angen i gydnabod llafur rhywogaethau eraill. Mae DARCH yn gofyn inni ystyried y pridd, aโr creigwely syโn ei ddal i fyny, fel gofod syโn cael ei rannuโn gyfartal ymhlith pob rhywogaeth โ planhigion, anifeiliaid aโn hynafiaid, dynol a mwy na dynol โ ac un y gallwn ni ar y cyd ddod รข byd mwy tyner a thrugarog i fodolaeth drwyddo. Mae DARCH yn datblygu ailadrodd newydd o Heaven in the Ground, wediโi greu fel prosiect safle-benodol ar gyfer Cymru.

DARCH ywโr ymarfer cydweithredol rhwng yr artistiaid Umulkhayr Mohamed a Radha Patel. Mae eu gwaith yn chwilio am ffyrdd creadigol o fynegi arferion gofal-ganolog ar gyfer pobl o liw, gyda dull syโn seiliedig ar undod a rhyddhad.
DARCH is the collaborative practice of artists Umulkhayr Mohamed and Radha Patel. Their work seeks creative ways to articulate care-centred practices for people of colour, with an approach grounded in solidarity and liberation.
