Earlier this week, we were contacted by Gordon Horrod who told us about the wooden heritage boxes he makes. Gordon lives near Ripon and has worked with wood all his life. His father was a cabinet maker and taught him many different skills.

Today Gordon called in to see us and show us some of his lovely boxes. We now have five of them for sale in the gallery. They can be used for jewellery, trinkets or for things that hold special memories. They are made from a variety of woods, some of which are quite unusual. Please click on each photo for more information and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

We are open tomorrow from 10am to 5.30pm and Sunday from 12 to 5.30pm.

Dave has been busy framing three of my prints over the last couple of days. We don't do general framing but we do frame our own originals and prints and have a range of mouldings that go well with our work. These prints are all A3 size + the mount and frame. Please click on each photo for more information.

Tonight's photo is of just one shelf upstairs in the gallery. The vintage signed studio pottery coffee set on the left is by Tony Bristow and it was made in the 1960s. In later life, Tony went to Malta and set up his pottery business there. On the right we have three different vintage studio pottery jugs. The two at the back are French and I'm not sure where the jug at the front was made, but I love it's quirky shape and texture.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY

What a scorcher! We're not usually open on Mondays but we are today, from 10am to 5.30pm.

This painting is "Sunbeam Falls" by Liz Marsh. It's one of the wackier ones in which the sun melts in the sky and a herd of tupped sheep crosses a ravine on a narrow bridge. The original painting is for sale in the gallery and prints are available from the gallery or online from our Etsy shop: https://elmgalleryartprints.etsy.com/listing/993121175

These vintage boots may look like leather but they're actually ceramic! They were made by Tony Wood in the 1980s and are very realistic. They can either be displayed as decorative items or perhaps used to put plants or dried flowers in them. Either way, they're sure to be a talking point! Please click on each photo for more information.

We'll be open from 12 to 5.30pm tomorrow and 10am to 5.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

What a gorgeous day it's been today! The colours in the garden are just beautiful, just like the lovely colours on our vintage Moorcroft pottery. We've just got two shelves of Moorcroft and some of the pieces date back to the 1940s, so they're well and truly vintage. To the right of the top shelf we've got two of Jen Wardell's needle felted birds - a beautiful kingfisher on a branch and a delightful humming bird.

We'll be open tomorrow from 10 to 3.30, Sunday from 12 to 5.30 and Bank Holiday Monday from 10 to 5.30.

More vintage studio pottery finds! I particularly like the seahorse vase because it's so unusual. We've got lots of ceramics in the gallery, both new and vintage.

We'll be open tomorrow from 10am to 5.30pm. Please note that we'll be closing at 3.15pm on Saturday afternoon because we are going to a party!
