The Elm Gallery at Topcliffe Liz also makes and sells hand made bags and each one is unique. Liz & Dave Marsh are Yorkshire artists and trade as The Elm Gallery.

The Elm Gallery (Liz & Dave Marsh Fine Art) sells paintings, prints, cards & lots of beautiful handmade things, including a wide range of new and vintage studio pottery and art glass. They have their gallery in Topcliffe, near Thirsk, where they sell their original paintings, prints and cards. The gallery also has a wide range of hand made and beautifully crafted items by other crafts people and makers, so it's a great place to buy gifts! Liz also designs and makes bags and each one is unique. The gallery is within a listed building - The Old Post House - and is on Front Street in Topcliffe. We've sold Heathergems in the gallery for many years and they've always been very popular. The "gems" in the jewellery are made from dried heather stems which have been dyed different colours and then compressed under high pressure into a block. The gems are then cut from the block in lots of different shapes and sizes and no two gems are ever the same. Made in Pitlochry, Scotland, prices start at around £25 and go up to £75.

A few months ago, we bought a very unusual 3D ceramic or resin Noah's Ark plaque in an antique shop. It's a really charming piece and the animals are delightful. Dave has mounted it on a hessian covered board and framed it with a moulding that matches perfectly. It would be lovely on a child's bedroom wall or any wall in an animal lover's house!

LATE NIGHT OPENING TOMORROW NIGHT!

We're pleased to say that tomorrow evening (Wednesday) will be our first Late Night Opening of 2026. There will be free w**e, soft drinks and nibbles from 6pm to 9pm and we'll be open all day. too. It's a good chance to start planning your Christmas gift shopping in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere and we'd love to see you.

Some customers started Christmas shopping in July. We're not so well organised I'm afraid!
