Artist Viv Richards is our next Featured Artist with a new collection of work inspired by Polzeath, Port Isaac, Pentire Point and Newland Island, as well as the cliff walk above Greenaway and views of Brea Hill and St Enodoc Church from Daymer Bay.

KIM BENTLEY's background as a textile designer informs her use of colour and composition, adding an almost illustrative feel to the stories embodied in her paintings, which capture communities enjoying Cornwall's unspoilt beaches. From children building sandcastles, to picnickers, surfers, kite fliers and other dog walkers, her artworks detail the charm and eccentricities of people going about their everyday lives.

RICHARD HOLLIDAY - FEATURED ARTIST - UNTIL 10TH JANUARY
Setting up for Richard's exhibition was no mean feat. His sculptures, worked from marbles and British limestone, range from small pieces that you can pick up in one hand, to some impressively monumental works that will now remain featured in our window over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
Richard began his career as a stonemason working on architectural projects, specifically structural and ornamental stonemasonry at Westminster Abbey, Kings College Chapel and Ely Cathedral. Now based in West Cornwall he works full time as a studio sculptor, creating distinctive figurative, semi figurative and abstract works of great beauty.

Printmaker LEY ROBERTS's work is drawing-based, using pen and ink and traditional intaglio printmaking techniques. It invites viewers to discover beauty within the everyday and commonplace through closely observed light, and the ways in which it can enhance a subject or bestow a place, object, or person with an alluring nobility.

SUKI WAPSHOTT is a painter of thought provoking, poetic landscapes, seascapes and abstract works. She lives and works in Polzeath, where the Atlantic Ocean and North Cornwall coastline inspire her work. And of course, the spectacular sunsets for which Polzeath is famed for.

NEW SHOW OPENING TODAY SATURDAY 11th OCTOBER
We are delighted to welcome award winning printmaker Ley Roberts to the gallery. Ley's work can be found in private and public collections in the UK and abroad, but this is her very first collection to be inspired by Polzeath and the surrounding landscape.

Ley's exhibition will continue until 7th November. While we hope you can get to Polzeath to see her beautiful etchings on the wall, if commitments prevent you from jumping in the car and heading to Cornwall, please join us instead for a virtual tour of the exhibition on our website. Thank you to all of you who came along to Suki's preview evening yesterday - it was a busy night! It's always nice to see familiar faces, and lovely to welcome new ones. Many thanks too to The Waterfront, Polzeath, for kindly providing the drinks and delicious canapés. 😋
