Well… it’s not the size that matters, right?! 😂

I entered the St James Church, New Brighton, Sunflower Competition in partnership with New Brighton Primary School after being handed a tiny pot with one little seed and the challenge to “grow a sunflower.”

Against all odds…

🌱 It grew
😂 It’s VERY small
🤣 It’s VERY thin
🏆 AND IT CAME THIRD!

Proof that simply staying alive can sometimes get you on the podium. 😂🌻🥉

I’m ridiculously proud of my slightly underwhelming little sunflower! 💛

I just love being part of this fab community. It's the connections and collaborations that are important. It's important to say yes to things as you never know where it will take you and who you'll meet 🙂

This beautiful piece is by one of our youngest artists. I think you would agree Darcey has a fantastic eye for colour....what a talent.

One to watch and if you feel like supporting a new emerging artist, this is time to buy such a wonderful piece.

This is a colourful and detailed picture of Birkenhead Park, and the shimmer on the water is fabulous.

🍷 WINE TASTING IS BACK AT THE HATCH! 🧀

Our next wine tasting evening is in the diary — and if you love discovering new wines, good cheese and a relaxed evening with friends, this one's for you.

Join us at The Hatch Gallery with the lovely Jonathan from Bacchus Private Wine Tasting for a guided tasting of six carefully selected wines, paired with a delicious cheeseboard and of course, fabulous art!

Tickets: £45 per person
Venue: The Hatch, 116 Victoria Rd, New Brighton, Ch45 2JF
Date: Thursday 17th September
Time: 7pm
🍷 6 wines + cheeseboard included

These evenings are always great fun — informal, friendly and absolutely no wine expertise required! Just come along, enjoy our art and learn a little and decide on your favourites wine.
