His timing was perfect as our 30 year old gallery is due to be replaced thanks to a grant from the National Lottery.

One of our Audio Histories recorded in the late 1980s. Eric talks about his time in the chemical industry and the processes that were used at the time in ICI Kemet, also known as Wigg and Randle Works. Eric spent most of his time at the ICI Widnes Works on the former Muspratt site and has some hair-raising tales about the health and safety in the late 1940s including the use of an umbrella as a potential parachute!

Playing detective today as we continue to digitise some of our taped oral histories. The clip is from a QC Manager at Bush Boake Allen and his name may possibly be Alan Grier, Greer or even Grice. It shows the importance of clear record-keeping! The recording is thought to be from 1989. Does anyone know him?
