LM - Limerick Museum Limerick Museum - Curating the past for the future. Limerick Museum, is the official museum for Limerick City and County Council.

Founded in 1907, and opened in 1916. Previous locations:
1907-1975: City Library, Pery Square (now Limerick City Gallery of Art)
1975-1979: Closed to the Public
1979-1998: St John's Square
1999-2012: Castle Lane (beside King John's Castle)
2012-2017: Istabraq Hall, City Hall
2017-Today: Old Franciscan Friary

Joseph Lennon is a renowned authority on Medieval castles, and holds an MA in History from the University of Limerick.

Dorothea Conyers was an Irish romance writer. She grew up in County Limerick and spent most of her life living there. She started writing in 1900 and completed about 40 works. Her novels centered around the life of Irish sporting gentry. She died on this day 25 May 1949
