We are heartbroken by the recent and sudden death of our dear friend and colleague Dermot Mulligan, Curator of Carlow County Museum. His passing is a tremendous loss to his family, to his museum colleagues and to those he worked with in Carlow County Council. He will be deeply missed also in so many parts of Ireland because Dermot’s influence extended well beyond Carlow. All of us in the Local Authority Museums Network relied on his support, calm presence, and his cheerful outlook on life. We are proud to have known him as a colleague and as a friend. Our thoughts are with his wife, his family and his friends and colleagues at Carlow County Museum and Carlow County Council.
