The Honorable Governor of Goa, Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, accompanied by Mrs. Sunila Gajapathi Raju, visited Bigfoot Goa. He was the 11th Governor of Goa to visit — Goa’s first landscaped open-air museum.
The dignitaries were warmly received by Tosha Alvares and taken on a guided tour by Adriel Alvares, CEO of Bigfoot Goa. The tour highlighted the museum’s unique portrayal of a time when mankind lived in harmony with nature, embracing a simple and content way of life sustained by nature’s abundance. The Governor and Mrs. Raju also appreciated the architectural heritage and traditional Goan lifestyle showcased at the museum, while experiencing local delicacies such as Pez (rice kanji) and Kankon, a traditional Goan bread, Grams, Kokum and freshly roasted cashew nuts.
At the site of the iconic Mirabai sculpture, created by Maendra Alvares, children from Valentina’s Little Heaven presented a graceful traditional Mando performance, beautifully symbolizing the fusion of art, culture and dance.
Expressing his appreciation, the Honorable Governor remarked:
“It was a golden experience. The effort put into creating this project is highly appreciated. The values being passed on are truly noticeable. A sincere effort to take our past into the future is portrayed here.”
As a token of gratitude, a special memento of Bigfoot Goa was presented to the Governor by Kavya Alvares.
