This is not just an exhibition. It is a rare conversation.
The Architecture of the Void: Lines on a Postcolonial Skeleton brings together an extraordinary constellation of voicesβfrom the sharp force of Bakre and Souza to the wounded figures of Somnath H**e and Jogen Chowdhury; from the mythic intimacy of Badri Narayan to the cosmic geometries of G. R. Santosh and J. Swaminathan.
What makes this encounter remarkable is not only who is present, but how these works begin to speak to one another. Across generations, ideologies, and visual languages, the exhibition reveals Indian modernism not as a singular movement, but as a series of parallel searchesβfor selfhood, form, and meaning after rupture.
Together, these works map a postcolonial imagination still in formation.
