Since its inception the gallery has been working towards creating opportunities for young Indian artists to hone their talents and showcase their art. It is the gallery’s ongoing endeavor to act as a medium to increase awareness, understanding and appreciation of contemporary art forms among the general public through its gallery space, outreach programs, art residencies and travelling art shows.

Critically acclaimed for its exhibition of Modern and Contemporary art and its pioneering educational and public events; the gallery has showcased different forms of art over the years and has had top curators and art historians curating its shows. With its wide and dynamic range of activities and initiatives to promote contemporary art, Gallery Ragini plays a distinctive role in the unrelenting growth of India as one of the world’s emerging contemporary art hub.

Gallery Ragini was delighted to host students of Pearl Academy for a Madhubani workshop and gallery walkthrough with artist Pooja Devi.

From Ranti in Bihar, the birthplace of Madhubani, Pooja is a third generation artist with over 17 years of practice. Rooted in Kobar, the auspicious wedding paintings, her work is marked by motifs of fish, sun, elephant and more.

A day of learning the stories, making hands on with the artist, and exploring indigenous art forms on view.

In Jambu Singad’s Bhil paintings, elephants, fishes and birds slowly appear through circles, dots and patterns. Painted in organic yellows, greens and reds, the works draw from the natural world and a tradition passed down through generations.

Gallery Ragini is delighted to present Forty Degrees, a summer presentation of gallery collection.

Here we reflect on the layered narratives within Ayesha’s Enneaptych of Love—a deeply personal nine-part series that reimagines the Arabic sharing plate as a vessel for stories of love, memory, resilience, and transformation. Ayesha’s works explore love in its many forms, inviting intimate reflection while speaking to universal human experiences.
