“Obrir el Tríptic, Signar la Pau”

Per ARTISSIMA 2025, e con la collaborazione della galleria WEBER & WEBER, ABA ART è lieta di presentare una selezione di opere pittoriche a olio tratte dalla mostra “Obrir el Trípic, Signar la Pau”, dell’artista maiorchina CATALINA JULVE.
Il polittico è stato realizzato ad Arraiolos (Portogallo, 2024) durante la residenza artistica dell’autore. Riunisce scene che evocano ricordi di momenti vissuti durante quel soggiorno. Le 24 immagini sono disposte su tre livelli:
la relazione dell’artista con il cielo, con la natura e con
la figura umana. Con questa semplicità, l’opera celebra,
senza alcuna pretesa, la naturalezza e la libertà scoperte
nel semplice valore del momento presente.
Le opere Moinho e Untitled, anch’esse esposte, sono ingrandimenti di immagini tratte dal polittico, mentre Talatí de Dalt rappresenta un paesaggio del celebre insediamento preistorico minorchino, in cui i caratteristici talaiots appaiono come resti del santuario.

For ARTISSIMA 2025, and with the collaboration of
WEBER & WEBER Gallery, ABA ART is pleased to
present a selection of oil paintings from the exhibition
“Obrir el Trípic, Signar la Pau”, by the Majorcan artist
CATALINA JULVE.
The polyptych was produced in Arraiolos (Portugal,
2024) during the artist’s residency. It gathers scenes
captured as memories of moments from that stay. The
24 images are arranged on three levels: the artist’s
relationship with the sky, with nature, and with the
human figure. With this simplicity, it praises, without
pretension, the naturalness and freedom discovered in
the simple value of the present moment.
The works Moinho and Untitled, also on display, are
enlargements of images taken from the polyptych, while
Talatí de Dalt depicts a landscape of the emblematic
prehistoric Menorcan settlement, where its characteristic
talaiots appear as remnants of the sanctuary.
