Galerie Clairefontaine Galerie Clairefontaine is an art gallery with two spaces in the historical center of Luxembourg, showing painting, sculpture and photography since 1988.

Galerie Clairefontaine, Epace 1, was founded in 1988 by Dr. Marita Ruiter. It started out with Austrian painters like Kokoschka, Klimt and Schiele and then continued to show primarily international contemporary painting, sculpture, and photography. In 1997 Galerie Clairefontaine, Espace 2, a second space, to promote photography and cutting edge positions in contemporary art. The Gallery promotes

its collections of: “Portraits and Reportages by Gisèle Freund", “The First Aerial Photographs of Berlin”, “ Fidel Castro and the Revolutionary movement in CUBA 1959/60”, etc., which are travelling exhibitions shown in international Museums and Cultural Institutions . The gallery has participated in many international Art Fairs like ART BASEL, ART COLOGNE, ARCO, AIPAD NEW YORK, DFOTO, ART BRUSSELS, FIAC, MIAMI, PARIS PHOTO etc.
