I'm not sure if this may qualify for the theme "Cozy Moments", but to me this must definitely be just that. Pastelgrain paper is excellent when working with soft pastel sticks!

I don't know why I love to draw dogs with their mouth open. Maybe it is because of all those colours that I rarely get to use, the purples and pinks. Or maybe it is because I'm originally a dentist, who knows. Anyways, this lovely dog is named Porthos, and he lives in Austria. He's so cute, I wish I could give him a hug! 🥰 Big thanks to Claudia for letting me draw him!

Autumn is officially here now, but as the Summer was quite Autumnish, I wanted to brighten up my days with doing a piece with lovely colours. This one I have called "Tiny lanterns of the forest", and it was true mindfulness working with it!

When I found the photo of the waffle chef dog Azra in a free reference group, I immediately fell for it!! Not only because I love waffles, but just look at those eyes!!!! I had to draw him, and I was over the moon when Azra's owner liked it so much that she wanted to have it on her kitchen wall ❤️ Mikaela Asp

Finally got to try my new full set of Jackson's soft pastel sticks on a little landscape. I did the same one in pastel pencils last Summer, a 7x7cm mini mini version. This one is 20x20cm, but the ref was a mini from the Landscape Practice Journal from Learn My Craft | Art Tutorials, Books & Courses . I really enjoyed doing this, and I hope to do many more with my lovely pastel sticks from Jackson's Art Supplies .
Details were done with Rembrandt sticks, no pencils used, which is a big achievement for a pencil artist!😂😂😂

His name MUST be Sid, right?! I just had to draw him when I saw his joyful and excited face! I've called this piece "Unleashed Joy". I hope he makes you smile!😁

For those who want to know, I'm really starting to like Canson Velvet now! Hardly any pastels come off after I have finished a piece, I can't believe it!

Is it Spring yet? It sure is! Not sure if it is lambing season in Norway yet, but there are signs of Spring, and things feel less heavy. I have been working of this one the past week, a creation that symbols Spring, friendship and a fresh start. Gotta love lambs!!
