is a non-stock, non-profit organization that established the first children’s interactive museum in the Philippines in 1993. The Museo Pambata is a children’s museum with various educational programs in support of children’s rights and a broad range of creative and educational services for children and adults involved in children’s welfare. It is an institutional member of the Philippine Board on

Museo Pambata was the only non-European museum shortlisted for the First Children’s Museum Award. “Growing up with a single parent, I didn’t have the luxury of exploring the world outside school. Now that I am a mom, I always make sure to balance my child’s learning experience through school, field trips, museums, play parks, and more.

At 40, it was our first time visiting Museo Pambata, and we enjoyed and learned so much, especially the workshop. I believe that through imagination, a child’s creativity can go a long way. She still knows the Fruit Salad Song she learned from the storytelling session.” -Julie

Every workshop, storytelling session, and playful learning experience is created in the hope that children and families leave with something valuable to carry with them long after their visit. Sometimes, it’s a lesson. Sometimes, it’s a memory. Sometimes, it’s simply a song that stays in a child’s heart. 💛

If museums could talk, they might sound gentle, friendly, and always curious too!

Maybe they would say, “Good job being curious today. Come back soon, we still have so many stories to share with you!”

Or maybe it would be, “Come in, take your time, and look around!” Because inside every exhibit, there is always something waiting to be discovered. A story, a memory, a feeling… or even a new question you didn’t know you had.

This International Museum Day 2026, we celebrate the theme “Museums Uniting a Divided World.” It reminds us that even if we come from different places, speak different languages, or see things in different ways, we can still learn together, play together, and understand each other better.

At Museo Pambata, we see this all the time–children exploring with bright eyes, asking “why?” and “how?”, sharing ideas, and discovering new things side by side. Maybe that’s what museums are really for: a happy place where everyone can learn from each other. 💛

Happy International Museum Day from Museo Pambata!
