Stockholm Craft Week is coming soon!
At PLATINA we will show Fifteen Connections / Femton förbindelser- a group exhibition with fifteen jewellery artists from Sweden, Denmark and Norway, organized in collaboration between PLATINA Stockholm (curator Sofia Björkman), FORMAT Oslo (curators Irija Øwre and Kristin Mannino) and SPACIOUS COPENHAGEN (curator Annette Dam).
The exhibition highlights both connections and contrasts, exploring how artists from three Nordic countries develop distinctive expressions and working methods while being part of a shared Nordic and global jewellery context. The exhibition is a travelling exhibition, starting in Stockholm.
Opening on Thursday 1st of October 15.00-18.00

Hansel Tai is a studio artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. His work investigates q***r culture in the Post-internet Epoch, where the natural is overshadowed by the body cult, deformation, subcultural signs and high gloss metal, and hyperstition is materialised into fe**sh objects.
The title SURF_ refers simultaneously to the act of surfing on open water and surfing the internet. Through this dual entry, Tai revisits adolescent experiences of digital freedom, exhilaration, and sexual liberation while examining the subcultural aesthetics that shaped his own practice in all aspects. The works in the exhibition reconstruct acts of love hunting and q***r cruising, reassembling them into tactile forms that question how technology mediates desire, identity, and perception.
Ultimately, SURF_ proposes a reflection on q***r courtship of desire, materials, and memory, where mundane materials are reimagined as carriers of both personal and collective histories, oscillating between decay and renewal, hurtling toward a sharp end.

The exhibition is supported by The Swedish Arts Council and the project by Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
