Concept Description:

"Phuket is more than just its beaches.

This mural explores the 'inland beauty' found where Phuket Town meets Kathu, celebrating the waterfalls and hidden wilderness away from the sea.

The artist’s playful characters interact with local flora and fauna to illustrate a vital balance: enjoying nature without leaving a mark. It’s a call to adventure, wrapped in a message of conservation—reminding us to explore with care, so these wonders remain for the next generation."

Objective:

"A notable figure in the Phuket art scene, Ids is widely recognised for his nostalgic canvases that reinterpret the bold commercial aesthetics of 1980s Thailand.

In a significant departure from his studio work, this large-scale mural translates his signature style onto a grander stage. By placing his iconic characters within the lush, hidden landscapes of the Kathu waterfalls, he creates a powerful statement on environmental stewardship.

The work serves as both an invitation and a plea: to enjoy the island’s inland wonders, but to approach them with the same care and gentle attention we owe to the heritage that shaped us.”

“FLAME - The Spirit of Phuket”

This mural symbolizes the connection between urban expression and Phuket’s natural environment.

The graffiti-style word FLAME represents energy, life, and continuity, while the surrounding rainforest reflects the island’s rich biodiversity.
The red-eyed tree frog serves as a symbol of wildlife and environmental balance.

Its presence highlights the importance of protecting Phuket’s fragile ecosystems, which are increasingly affected by urban growth and tourism.

Great fun kicking off the Art Soi Program in Phuket Town.

Thanks to artist .studio for your talent, time and vision.

The Art Soi wall is dedicated to showcasing impactful murals by global artists on a theme of Phuket heritage and identity, past and present.

The wall will be a revolving and curated ‘gallery of street art’.

All murals will be available as limited edition prints on the Red T Multiples platform and gift shop.
