We have new gallery hours!

The gallery will be open for your viewing Tuesday-Friday 12pm-7pm and on Saturday 10am-5pm!

During the 5-7pm hours Tuesday- Friday there will be a cash bar available (21+ w/ ID).

Come and see the new SummerView Exhibit, enjoy some art and hang out with us up at the Loft!

Thank you to all who serve, selflessly gifting for us all. 🇺🇸

Recently, the Boys & Girls Club of Alpena and Art in the Loft pARTnered up to offer our areas Blue Star Families a unique hands-on visual and culinary arts experience, right here in the gallery. Guests were welcomed by B&G’s
Director of Resource Development, Catherine Knoch before joining certified nutritionist, Jess Krawczak 🍽️ and our AITL’s Director of Programming, Lane Blair Olsen 🎨 for both visual & culinary art lessons curated with the entire family in mind. All before dining in among the gallery and enjoying our Young Artist Exhibit recently on display.

The Boys & Girls Club of Alpena just became a Blue Star outpost. Working on connecting these families closer to their communities. We are grateful to be apart of this mission, had a wonderful time getting creative with the families and look forward to future offerings.

Friends and Family of Art in the Loft,

We mourn the loss of beloved artist, poet and dear friend, Nycki.C. Her art and her voice were an inspiration for so many who came through the gallery.

She unabashedly advocated for the importance of art and education, and she built a community of inclusivity, love and support. She encouraged creativity and prompted play. She was tenacious and caring. Nycki wanted to see everyone spread joy and elevate their voices.

Rather than mourning in solitude, Nycki would encourage us to create, to spread love and to come together.

We send our love and support to those impacted by this loss. Spreading hugs and fluffies to all.

Volunteers Claire & Violet Leflure, Kingsli Kraft, Raelynn Szatkowski, Denise Cooper, Cheryl Lemke, Stacey Stewart, our dedicated AITL Staff, Hope Reed, Abigail Adams and Beth Preston our YAE workshop instructors for gifting their time and talent. Our Direct of Programming, Lane Blair Olsen for organizing and coordinating it all, as well as support from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, and of course, all of you!

We look forward to this special event every year and are grateful to Netta's Nursery for gifting their time, talent, beautiful space and generosity in supporting the arts in our community.

As well as, Blue Moon Cafe for the delicious food, our lovely board members Raelyn Szatkowski, Stacey Siegle Stewart and Cheryl Lemke for helping put this event together and donating supplies to do so.
