Get ready for a sub-lime time at next month’s Coffee and Cuties, Citrus Summer!

Learn about these sour fruits through story time, a delicious science experiment, and a fun craft! And grown ups, don’t forget to pick up some free coffee courtesy of Roasters.

Join us July 3 at 9:45am, 10:45am, or 11:45am. This monthly program is included with regular admission or DCC membership. Due to Kinderstudio renovations, July’s Coffee and Cuties will be held in our East 2 classroom.

Did you know that a 3rd grade class from Eastridge Elementary was the first school group to see a program in our Space Theater (then called the Ecosphere) in January, 1976?

For today’s , we’re taking a look back into our beloved planetarium in its early days. At the time, it was fitted with a state-of-the-art SPITZ-152 projector, and featured a 40-foot high, 240-degree hemisphere, eight-speaker sound system, and a rapid heating and cooling system for an immersive experience. Public shows began being offered in May, beginning with a program about Mars.

Celebrate the Year of the Dinos at the Don Harrington Discovery Center's family-friendly screening of The Good Dinosaur (2015) on June 27! You and your family will fall in love with Arlo the Apatosaurus and his friendship with a caveboy named Spot. Tickets are only $5 per person, and concessions such as popcorn, drinks, candies, and snacks are available for purchase at DHDC's concession stand!

Catch a classic in DHDC's Space Theater with an adults-only screening of Jurassic Park (1993) on June 27! A 21+ dino-themed drink with a kids-free atmosphere will make this classic movie come to life with DHDC's Dinosaurs Around the World exhibit just outside of the Space Theater.
