A little birthday trip to Napa turned into a full-on Woodpecker adventure. 🍒🍷🌊

Brielle—one of our talented bulb glazers—packed this little Charley Harper feathered friend in her suitcase and took him from winery strolls to farmer’s markets, oyster lunches to crab hunts, and even a stop at the olive bar (priorities!). Somewhere between Bodega Bay taffy and cherry shopping in Napa, the Woodpecker officially found his forever home with Grammie. California suits him.

We love seeing where Motawi tiles wander off to next. A favorite café, a roadside oddity, a lakeside cabin, a picnic table covered in cherries—it’s all part of the story.

Got a Motawi tile out in the wild? Take us along for the ride and tag your adventures with so we can follow—and maybe share—your journey too.

Some designs never really leave.

Three early Nawal Motawi favorites are back for one more season as part of our From the Vault collection: Coronet, Ladybell, and Tulips. Originally created more than 20 years ago, these Art Nouveau-inspired 6x6 tiles return in rich new Blue and Red colorways.

Hand-glazed in Ann Arbor using the Cuenca technique, each tile carries the same handcrafted character that made these designs timeless in the first place.

Available for a limited time.

There’s something especially satisfying about the final piece of a renovation—the moment when a space stops feeling under construction and starts feeling like home. In this Virginia cabin, handcrafted tile became that finishing touch.

From Lichen green field tiles framing Songbirds and Dard Hunter art tiles in the kitchen, to two distinctive bathroom vanity backsplashes, every tile adds warmth and personality to the space. You can almost feel the care that went into every choice.

This note from the homeowner made our Projects team smile:

“We have nearly finished our kitchen and bathroom tile project, and I want to share some photos with you. Everything looks great! Our installer had a lot of fun with it and your instructions were excellent. I wish the factory were closer to Virginia because I would love to visit and see the operation in person. This is the last major project for our log cabin renovation and it is like the cherry on top. Thanks so much for all of your good advice and direction!”

We’re so grateful they shared these photos—and that our installation instructions helped make the process smooth and enjoyable for their installer. Handmade tile has a way of turning a room into a story you get to live inside every day.

Now we just need to convince them to make the trip from Virginia to Ann Arbor someday for a factory tour.

We thought choosing a colorway for our new 4x4 Candle tile would be simple. Then the Tileworks team started voting… and suddenly there were tally marks, stars, strong opinions, and absolutely no consensus.

So now we’re turning it over to you: which one would you choose — A, B, C, D, or E?

Some feel bright and cheerful. Some feel quiet and wintry. Some have that deep fireside-at-dusk mood. We’d love to hear which one speaks to you (and why). Swipe through the image gallery and comment below to register your vote!

The fate of this little candle tile may rest in your hands.

Mouse has officially gone to Key West. 🌴🐭

Jessica from our Projects design team tucked a 3x3 Mouse by Charley Harper into her suitcase and turned her vacation into a tiny tile adventure—stopping by Sloppy Joe’s, Blue Heaven, Pepe’s Café, the Hemingway House, sandy beaches, sunset views, and a few curious local characters along the way.

There’s something especially delightful about seeing a handmade tile wander far from home. A little piece of art. A little travel companion. A tiny postcard from the road.

Now we want to see where your tile travels next.

Taking a trip? Bring a Motawi tile along and share your photos with so we can follow the journey and feature some of our favorites here.

Where should Mouse go next?
