Meet Tonjela Anderson, one of our incredible work-study students at the Clark Atlanta University Art Museum! ✨

Tonjela is a Sociology major with a passion for storytelling, connection, and creating meaningful impact through communication. As she prepares to enter her senior year during the 2026–2027 school year, she looks forward to earning her bachelor’s degree and pursuing a career in public relations and personal branding & helping individuals and organizations craft authentic narratives that reflect their values and purpose.

This Fall 2026, Tonjela will also embark on an exciting study abroad experience in Seoul, further expanding her global perspective and cultural experiences. 🌍💫

We are so proud to celebrate Tonjela’s journey and cannot wait to see all that she accomplishes!

Favorite Artwork: Wild Flowers by June Hector 🌸

“I am particularly drawn to June Hector’s work because it captures flowers in bloom, symbolizing the start of spring. I love how pops of blue, yellow, and pink are woven throughout the piece, bringing a sense of vibrancy and warmth. To me, this artwork beautifully represents the stillness and peace found in nature.”

Before April ends we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that April is Arts, Culture & Creativity Month — and we’re celebrating all of it. 🎨✊🏾

At the Clark Atlanta University Art Museum, creativity is more than expression. It’s history, identity, and power. This month and every month we celebrate the things that create the most magic in our lives— Arts, Culture, and Creativity.

About the book:
Data Consciousness brings together original essays and an interview exploring W.E.B. Du Bois and his contributions to sociology, art, and aesthetics from the perspective of six contemporary Black artists and scholars who explore how data, information, and technology increasingly mediate issues of race, identity, and equity. It includes full documentation of the forthcoming major print work, Printing Black America: Du Bois’s Data Portraits in the 21st Century, made by William Villalongo and Shraddha Ramani in collaboration with six fine art print publishers across the United States.

Meet the Team ✨

At the Clark Atlanta University Art Museum, we’re proud to highlight the incredible individuals who preserve and protect our stories. Today, we’re featuring Chaundria Wynn:

Chaundria Wynn is an archivist with an unconventional background. Born and raised in Atlanta, she began her studies in studio art at Georgia State University before serving in the U.S. Army. After her military service, she earned a BA in Anthropology from Augusta University and an MLIS from Valdosta State University. Now, as a Certified Archivist, Chaun brings a unique blend of creative insight, analytical training, and disciplined focus to her work preserving cultural heritage. When she’s not safeguarding history, you’ll find her at home with her partner and their furry crew—three dogs (Jess, Cletus, and Kayto) and a cat named Max, who firmly identifies as a dog. 🐾
