Create 48 x Village Works presents a Tie-Dye Workshop with
Come out and learn from the trippy tie-dye wizard himself as we explore how to go beyond your basic tie-dye. Create a piece of wearable art that you can take home, wash out, to unveil your masterpiece!
Create your 4/20 fit, enjoy the vibes, celebrate Bicycle Day, and devour pizza from the munchie masters, Tony Boloney’s.
All supplies are included, including T-shirts.
This is a free workshop.
Spaces are strictly limited to 20—please be considerate and only sign up if you’re sure you can make it.

Special Atlantic City Workshop

For March, Create 48 and Village Works are switching up our usual creative writing format and bringing in the creators of The Diving Horse , the Atlantic City zine dedicated to local stories, history, and culture.

They’ll be leading a creative writing workshop built around Atlantic City–inspired prompts, designed to spark new work, words and thoughts about the city we live in, love, and argue about.

Whether you:
• already write for the magazine
• regularly attend our workshops
• or have been curious about both but haven’t taken the leap

Now’s the time.

Our upcoming Softlines Meditative Painting Workshop with Create 48 has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 29 from 1–3 PM.

This guided session invites participants to slow down and explore painting as a meditative practice. Through layered soft lines and intuitive mark-making, we’ll focus on process, rhythm, and presence rather than perfection.

If you were already registered, your spot is still reserved.

Spots are limited and a few may open due to the new date. If you’ve been curious about the workshop, this is a beautiful opportunity to join us.

Sometimes softening your lines means adjusting.

Because of the snowstorm expected this Sunday, we are postponing Soft Lines at Mighty Writers.

2026 has decided our first two workshops are actually snow sculptures 🤷‍♂️⛄️

We’ll share a new date very soon.

In the meantime, stay safe, stay warm, and keep practicing art and gentleness.

✨ Soft Lines ✨

An intuitive, meditative arts workshop with
Find places where you can soften lines in both your art and your life.
This workshop is an invitation to loosen your grip and quiet the mind. You’ll begin by drawing slow, soft, continuous lines…not trying to make anything, just allowing movement, rhythm, and breath to guide your hand.
As the lines unfold, you’ll listen for what wants to appear. Shapes, symbols, figures, or feelings may emerge. You’ll follow them gently, letting intuition lead instead of control.
Set to calming, meditative sound, this practice is about presence, trust, and allowing whatever wants to come through the page to arrive in its own time.

No rules. No expectations. Just flow.

✨ Start and finish a personal piece you can take home and hang

✨ Open to artists, creatives, and curious beginners
✨ No drawing experience needed

✨ Classes Are Back. New Year. New Space. Same Creative Spirit. ✨

After four incredible years at Union Hall Arts, Create 48 AC is turning the page and stepping into an exciting new chapter.

We’re thrilled to announce that our classes and workshops are returning in 2026, now hosted at a new location in partnership with Mighty Writers. While the walls may be different, our mission remains the same: creating accessible, community-centered spaces for creativity, expression, and connection.
And as always, Pizza Lunch!
We’re kicking things off with a Creative Writing Workshop led by Village–Works, inviting writers of all levels to explore voice, storytelling, and the power of words in a supportive, inspiring environment.

New year. New space. Extra Parking.

Submissions are now open for our Last Fu***ng Art Show ever at Union Hall Arts. Submit whatever you want, go deep! Show us your favorite piece of art in your catalogue or Pull out that piece you’ve been working on but been too nervous to show anyone.
Send us a message for drop offs and we will meet you or come pick up your art if you’re local!
We really want to see all of you one last time: friends who been with us since the beginning, ones that fell out or faded away, artists who have never heard of us before, and especially all of you who have been waiting for the right time to submit your art but were too busy or maybe even a little too intimidated to do it…. This is your time! We want to see your art, but more importantly, we want to meet and see all of you! We very much hope you all submit for the show and come out to celebrate what all of you helped to create.

And Whatever you choose to submit, let’s celebrate our exit the same way we came in….. with overflowing love for this amazing community of artists and a desire to build, grow, show and celebrate together 💛
